I am dedicated to the happiness of my clients and their pets and personally guarantee that I will make every reasonably professional effort to ensure your pets receive the attention and love they need when you cannot. This is not a part time effort; I am 110% committed to this endeavor and plan to be around for quite some time. My pets are part of my family; we celebrate their birthdays, give them presents for the holidays, and include them whenever possible in our lives away from home. I promise to provide your pets the same or better care than I give my own.
Warmest Regards,
Judi Gambaro

Who's the Diva?
Diva and her brother were found on the side of the road sometime in January 2007 located near a deer carcass- (yuck!). They were transported to a shelter who contacted Sandy's Canine Angel Rescue for placement. My son insisted he was ready for a dog & I'd been considering it for quite some time when my friend suggested we adopt. We set up a meeting and when this beautiful Chocolate Lab walked in, it only took a split second to decide we wanted her! Diva probably wondered why she kept going to different places & when she was going to find a home. No wonder she was so shy at first. Little did she know this was her last stop! After a little over a year with us Diva became confident, self-assured, friendly, and very social. She's the inspiration for our family-owned business. Diva's adoption page.
The Pet Sitters
Judi Gambaro is the owner/operator of Diva's Doggy Daycare. She's always had a love for pets, buying her first dog from her own earnings at 14 years old. She spent years working for others but something was always missing so in 2007, she embarked on a course that would change her life! With several years' experience caring for friends and family's animals, Judi ran across a company offering Doggy Daycare services. Upon investigating the industry, she further discovered Pet Sitting Services as a viable business outside large cities like New York and LA. When she learned the level of care she would be able to provide her clients at an affordable price, she launched Diva's Doggy Daycare. The plan continues to be to develop the Pet Sitting Services portion of the business with an eventual incorporation with a more traditional Doggy Daycare but with one simple twist; we will not offer boarding/kenneling services - ever. According to Judi, "the absolute best care for your animal is not in a crate around dozens of other animals. Animals become confused why their families have left them and distressed they might not return for them (especially rescue animals or pets who've had overnight medical care)." No matter how well they are cared for, they aren't where they want to be – at home. Pet Sitting and a Doggy Daycare in combination offer the most premium care for your pets; the socialization of your dogs in a safe, supportive environment along with premium in-home care for not just your dogs, but all pets in your home. "This is the best of both worlds", says Judi, "and I will continue to develop the business to provide that goal to you and your family".
Taylor Novak is a college student at Eastern Michigan University. Taylor's mom and Judi have been best friends for over 35 years so when Judi began looking for another Pet Sitter to expand the business, it was a natural choice to give Taylor a look. She's known her since birth, watched her grow into a responsible, caring young lady, and trusts Taylor to continue offering the high level of services she's worked so hard creating. Taylor is available on most breaks as well as during the busy summer months for Out of Town Services.
Jill Gambaro is Judi's elder sister and returned to Michigan in early 2011 to assist with caring for their mother who has Alzheimer's. Jill has Pet Sitting experience in LA; one of her clients had over 18 cats (Rescue service)! Jill also received training with horses while in LA. This has allowed us the ability to offer premium Horse Care Services. Additionally, Jill is available for Overnight Services and specializes in kitties; she's a real cat person and the cats know it!
Nico Gambaro is Judi's son who has grown along with the business. Says Judi, "he knows my business better than anyone else and has done Pet Sitting Services right alongside me since I opened. He knows what I want done, how I want it done, and how to care for animals. My customers love him". Nico does limited Pet Sitting locally but will expand once he obtains his license in 2013. He attends school at L'Anse Creuse where he is usually on the honor roll and has played hockey since 2003 earning so many first place trophies, there's no longer any room for them! Nico started his own business doing lawn care in the neighborhood in 2011. |
